Christian Jacobs Salon Suites honors the life and legacy of Christian Reid, Derrick “Flyty” Jacobs’ 19 year old son who was tragically taken from us June 2020. A promise Derrick made to his son— to forever speak his name. That’s why we’re building Christian Jacobs to provide a warm place of love and growth, where everyone feels at home.
Our mission is to empower beauty professionals and enhance the salon experience by providing a premium, private, and supportive environment within our salon suites. We keep God at the center as we become a preferred destination for beauty professionals and clients alike.

Derrick “Flyty” Jacobs is a Charlotte Native with over 35 years of experience as a master barber in the beauty and wellness industry.
While in high school, Derrick’s mother bought her three sons one set of clippers and encouraged them to learn how to cut their own hair. This quickly led to a line of kids in her driveway waiting for haircuts each week.
After opening his first barbershop in 1991 with his brother, Ramon, he never looked back. Flyty has become a Celebrity Barber with a number of high-end clients and prides himself on delivering more than just a haircut.
Alongside barbering, Flyty has been a recognizable face in media throughout the Charlotte area while also serving as an arena host for the Charlotte Hornets.
That’s where he met his wife, Jacinda.
Together, their heart to leave an impact has manifested in a myriad of ways. From the weekly “Flyty and Jacinda” radio show to their non-profit called “Stolen Lunches” where they feed the homeless, their work has set the stage for Christian Jacobs to be a place where lives are changed.
The Jacobs along with their 3 boys, little girl, and 5 dogs, can’t wait to welcome you to the family.
